The hotel group, historically positioned in the ultra-exclusive resort market, is entering the highly exclusive luxury yachting segment, a high value-added and growing market.

On Wednesday 21 January, Aman at Sea revealed the inaugural itineraries for its deep-sea voyages on its yacht, the Amangati. The first destinations will be in the Mediterranean, starting in spring 2027. These itineraries will explore routes where culture and architectural heritage will be the main attractions, from the Roman heritage of the Dalmatian coast to the Moorish grandeur of Mediterranean Spain, via the prestigious French Riviera, with stopovers in rarely accessible ports such as Beaulieu-sur-Mer. Lasting from five to eight nights, they will allow guests to enjoy major events along the way, such as the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix, among others. For lovers of La Serenissima, the Amangati will offer a rare passage through Venice's Grand Canal. In general, the destinations will offer tailor-made visiting options, facilitated by the availability of two heliports and six tenders.

Measuring 180 metres in length, with nine decks and a capacity limited to 94 passengers, Amangati, currently under construction, is designed to be extremely exclusive, with a deliberately reduced capacity and 47 very large suites, ranging up to 354 m². This choice confirms a clear strategy: to offer exclusivity and a series of high value-added experiences, while tackling a segment previously dominated by a few players such as Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection (capacity of 149 to 226 suites depending on the boat) and Four Seasons Yachts (95 suites and nearly 190 passengers).

Built by the Italian shipyard T. Mariotti in Genoa, which specialises in high-end vessels, it will offer the largest spa in its category with a surface area of 1,190 m². The yacht was designed by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design.

No prices have been announced for the destinations at this time. For comparison, some specialist media outlets are suggesting prices for Four Seasons Yachts, for example, of between $20,000 and $60,000 for five to seven nights, depending on the destination.

Amangati represents a major lever for the expansion of the Aman brand. The yacht becomes a complete experiential platform, integrating accommodation, gastronomy, wellness, medical spa, culture and entertainment, in a hybrid economic model between hospitality, premium cruising and private superyachting. This is a real trend, which other major hotel groups have also adopted.

The luxury cruise market has more than tripled since 2010 in terms of ships and capacity. It is expected to reach 1.5 million travellers by 2028 and be worth nearly £14.6 billion by 2032, up from £5.3 billion in 2022.

With Amangati, Aman is confirming a structural trend in luxury: the rise of the ‘ultra-experience’ as a new area of growth. After cosmetics, wellness, fashion, interior design, fragrances and now the sea, the group is pursuing a strategy of vertical integration of the Aman lifestyle, gradually transforming its brand into a global ecosystem of premium hospitality that goes far beyond hotels alone.
