Vacheron Constantin Unveils an Immersive Exhibition to Mark its 270th Anniversary
By Justine Offredi27 août 2025
To celebrate its 270th anniversary, the watchmaker is offering the general public an immersive experience at the heart of fine watchmaking in Geneva. The exhibition, entitled “The Quest,” will be held from September 15 to 28 at the Pont de la Machine.
Presented by Vacheron Constantin, this new public exhibition in Geneva will be called “The Quest: 270 years of seeking excellence.” To mark its 270th anniversary, the company has chosen to look back on its history, heritage, and expertise through an immersive display. This traveling pop-up will stop in Geneva from September 15 to 28, after having been presented in Abu Dhabi, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.
Considered the oldest watch manufacturer in the world, Vacheron Constantin's rich history has everything to fascinate lovers of fine mechanics. Founded in 1755 by Jean-Marc Vacheron, it has always relied on mechanical ingenuity, technical innovation, and creativity to design its timepieces. The exhibition will offer the general public the opportunity to immerse themselves in documents, photographs, artifacts, and historical timepieces from the archives. Visitors will be able to admire the very first pocket watch signed by its founder in 1755, the iconic 222, and a pocket watch decorated with enamel inspired by Jean Du Bois's “View of Geneva from the Bois de la Bâtie,” as well as discover the techniques of enameling, engraving, setting, and guilloché work.

The visit will conclude with a deep dive into the world's most complicated timepiece at the time of its launch in 2024: the Cabinotiers – The Berkley Grand Complication, featuring 2,877 components and 63 watchmaking complications, including the world's first Chinese perpetual calendar.
The exhibition will open to the public on Monday, September 15, at 2 p.m., and will continue from September 16 to 28, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Online reservations will be available starting Monday, September 1.
This event will complement other initiatives launched by Vacheron Constantin to celebrate its anniversary year, which began on January 13 with the unveiling of its iconic Historiques 222 model in steel, and more recently, the launch of The Artisan Residency Program, created in partnership with the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York to reward young talent in art and traditional craftsmanship. This is a strategic year for the brand, which also saw the appointment of its new CEO Laurent Perves at the beginning of the year, with a view to rejuvenating its image.
