A large billboard on the highway from LAX International Airport to Los Angeles features photos of top football players and reads: “Welcome FIFA Club World Cup 2025.” From June 14 to 23, 32 of the world’s biggest football clubs gathered in the California city to compete.
For the occasion, Paris Saint-Germain opened an immersive lifestyle pop-up on Melrose Avenue, conceived as a hub offering exclusive fashion collaborations, cultural programming, and fan experiences. This pop-up shop, called PSG House, “offered visitors a unique experience blending sport, fashion, art, music, and wellness – all in an atmosphere combining Parisian elegance with the creative boldness of the California coast,” the club said in a press release.

“Here in Los Angeles, people care more about American football than soccer,” jokes a taxi driver. Nonetheless, the gradual return of major global brand events highlights the city’s resilience and ongoing appeal.
“The authorities have only just reopened access to Pacific Palisades,” he adds. It seems a long time ago that the French luxury group LVMH canceled its “Watch Week” in January, while wildfires threatened the city of stars and cinema.
