The famous brand is mobilising to support independent bookshops worldwide and is using the Belletrist Book Club philo-literary community as a tool for interaction with the fashion world. Founded on the web by actress Emma Roberts, niece of Julia, and Karah Preiss in 2017, Belletrist Book, a real success story and idea laboratory around the book on the web, aims to bring social networking fans and the new 2.0 generations closer to the world of publishing. Several books by emerging writers identified by the Belletrist community have become material for new Netflix series. Thanks to this partnership, fashion, literature and the digital world are linked in a winning and inspiring synergy.

Already voted International Women's Designer of the Year by the CFDA, the Roman Pierpaolo Piccioli is passionate about theatre and literature and does not hesitate to draw on these worlds to find new sources of inspiration for his collections. The Valentino Narratives II campaign will be launched in New York, as well as in the world's most important fashion hubs.

Among the writers participating in the initiative are the French Prix Goncourt winner Leila Slimani, author of the best-selling book Chanson douce, model Emily Rataj-kowski, who has already dazzled the American public with the release of the book My Body published by Metropolitan Books, and the poet, lecturer and fashion designer Alok Vaid-Menon, the founder of #DeGenderFashion, a new movement to erase the concept of gender from the beauty and cosmetics industries, visual artist and writer Douglas Coupland, Andrew Sean Greer, who won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, and writer and screenwriter Hainif Kureishi, author of the unforgettable My Beautiful Laundrette, nominated for the Oscars for Best Screenplay.

Valentino, the first fashion house to design a campaign entirely made up of texts, thus continues to explore original and multidisciplinary initiatives. This time, the link between literature and fashion will have love as its central theme.
