The Mexican director and screenwriter ventures into the realm of satirical black comedy, with an unrecognisable Tom Cruise in the lead role as an all-powerful oil tycoon named Digger Rockwell. “Digger is charming,” said Iñárritu in an introduction shown during the press screening of the trailer in Los Angeles. “He’s funny. You can’t help but watch him. Like all the most dangerous people, he makes you want to agree with him.”
