In 2024, the trend is confirmed: ultra-small-diameter models will continue to appeal to jewel-watch enthusiasts. For February 14, several new Mini Trésor models appear in the showcases.

OMEGA launches its new Mini Trésor range, 26 mm in diameter, with diamond-embellished cases and distinctive dials (OMEGA)

From the Industrial Revolution to social movements, from the conquest of space to nanotechnologies, watchmaking has consistently captured the major stakes of history. As innovations have evolved, the conquest of time has drawn on them to develop precision, functionality, miniaturization, and endurance. From the ornamental watch to the chronometer, the history of watchmaking is an example of this evolution.

Historic brands like OMEGA are witness to these great technical advances. And interestingly, between 1894 and 1935, over 35% of OMEGA's movement production was destined for ladies' watches. The 1920s were a time of daring, artistic freedom, and expression in all its forms. Women were breaking free from the shackles of the past and becoming involved in civil society - it was a time of modernity. One example is the OMEGA "Medicus" of 1937. This user-friendly, easy-to-read watch was designed for nurses who worked tirelessly, a wristwatch with central seconds hand. The "Medicus" responded to the needs of modern women.

Then came the Thirty Glorious Years, when time was freed from conventions. Extra-professional activities became the new lifestyle. Sports and leisure activities abounded. It was at this time, in 1955, that OMEGA's Ladymatic was equipped with the world's smallest chronometer-certified automatic rotor caliber. Many years later, in 2010, co-axial technology made its appearance in scale models, including the Ladymatic dedicated to women.

Today, the boundaries between men's and women's watches are breaking down, the distinction often becoming superfluous. Style is no longer a matter of gender but a matter of desire. And the desire to choose a jewelry watch remains. With this in mind, OMEGA unveils the new watches in its Mini Trésor range. Five models with distinct identities. With a compact diameter of 26 mm, it combines discretion and elegance on the wrist. The curves of its case are enhanced by diamond pavement, and the case back features a mirror finish decorated with the "Her Time" motif. One model that particularly catches the eye is the Mini Trésor version in 18-carat Moonshine™ gold and its curved Moonshine™ gold dial adorned with a motif reminiscent of silk, or on a double-turn strap in red lacquered alligator leather, with a curved dial in creamy white Grand Feu enamel and red decal Roman numerals.
