Armani Partners With Symphony Global LLC to Strengthen Its Luxury Hotel Division

In a strategic move to strengthen its presence in the luxury hotel sector, on Friday, January 9, the Armani Group confirmed the creation of a global joint venture with Symphony Global LLC, the private investment company led by Emirati entrepreneur Mohamed Alabbar, to develop an expanded network of Armani Hotels & Resorts around the world.

After Milan and Dubai, the Armani group plans to open hotels around the world through its partnership with Symphony Global LLC (Armani)

According to the Italian news agency ANSA, the agreement, which will last for 20 years and is renewable for an additional 10 years, will give the new structure worldwide exclusivity for the design, development, and operation of future Giorgio Armani Group properties in prestigious destinations.

The stakes of this partnership are not limited to simply increasing the number of hotels. The aim is to assert a strong identity, driven by a distinctive vision of luxury, where architecture, design, customer experience, and lifestyle are integrated into a model of hospitality excellence. To make the customer experience unique, the hotels will rely, for example, on lifestyle managers, an essential link between customers and the establishment, guaranteeing a tailor-made service to satisfy all needs.

The partnership plans to develop two lines of hotels: traditional luxury establishments, such as the Armani Hotel in Dubai, which opened in 2010 in the Burj Khalifa, and the one in Milan, which opened in 2011 on the prestigious Via Manzoni. The other part of this partnership will focus on a more lifestyle-oriented concept, still high-end but aimed at attracting a younger, more informal clientele.

The Armani Group is in a solid financial position despite recent challenges in the sector. In 2025, the group's total revenues exceeded €4.25 billion, with contributions from the fashion, accessories, beauty, and licensing divisions. This is a significant figure, although slightly down on the previous year. This performance reflects an important diversification strategy, with hospitality remaining a prestige segment rather than a major driver of revenue, but with a strong impact on the overall brand image.

Symphony Global is a privately held investment company focused on large-scale projects in real estate, hospitality, retail, and luxury services. Although its financial data is not public, Symphony Global benefits from the reputation of its founder, Mohamed Alabbar. Known for leading the creation of iconic projects such as the Burj Khalifa through Emaar Properties, Alabbar gives the group solid credibility with institutional investors and strategic partners.
