On the occasion of the Paris Fashion Week which will take place at the end of September 2022, Artcurial's Fashion & Luxury Accessories department is organising two auctions dedicated to fashion. Collectors will be invited to the Hôtel Marcel Dassault on the Champs-Elysées to admire the exhibition of exclusive pieces by Karl Lagerfeld and the Chanel universe that will then be offered for sale.
From the 27th of September to the 4th of October, fans of the iconic designer Karl Lagerfeld will be in for a treat. The pieces presented at the sale come from a private German collection that offers mainly drawings, posters and photographs. Among the latter are images by André Leon Talley, the American fashion journalist nicknamed ALT and known as one of the editors of US Vogue magazine. Lagerfeld's creativity is on full display, with some of the designs having been made for the 2014 Chanel métiers d'Art Collection.
The cult designer will once again be the star of Artcurial's auctions in October, thanks to the programming of new sales dedicated this time to twenty-three pieces signed by Chanel by Lagerfeld. Between vintage and contemporary styles, there will be tweed jackets, pearl necklaces and classic quilted bags. Collectors will also be drawn to special items: not only clothes and accessories, but also lifestyle and decorative pieces, such as the La Petite Coco doll, a souvenir of the reopening of the Chanel shop in Soho, New York.
The sales will be offered exclusively online.
For more than fifteen years, the Parisian auction house Artcurial has been a reference for the most important luxury houses, such as Hermès, for which the Fashion & Luxury Accessories department organises two sales per year dedicated to the house, in Monaco.
