Ella Maillart, Photographic Stories
The Photo Elysée museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, pays tribute to Ella Maillart (1903-1997), writer, photographer, and avid traveler, through the exhibition Photographic Stories, which traces her explorations in Central Asia in the 1930s.
Opening on March 6, the retrospective highlights the documentary and cultural significance of her work, which will be recognized by UNESCO in 2025 in the Memory of the World Register.
