12 Moving Cylinders
The renowned Swiss watchmaker unveiled the TAG Heuer Monaco Speed 12 at the Monaco Grand Prix, which took place this weekend. An exceptional collection of 50 pieces, it pays tribute to motor racing technology, displaying the time on its dial via 12 rotating pistons. Arranged like hour markers, they each display the hour in turn as 60 minutes pass.
Back in 1969, the TAG Heuer Monaco was already breaking all the moulds, as it was the first water-resistant automatic chronograph with a square case. Two years later, its legend was cemented when Steve McQueen wore it in the film Le Mans, transforming a revolutionary watch into a true cultural icon.
