The Treasures of Saqqarah

The Saqqarah site, south of Cairo, unveiled at the end of 2020 a hundred sarcophagi more than 2,000 years old in perfect condition. It is there that the necropolis of Memphis, the capital of Ancient Egypt, housed these wooden coffins which belonged to high-ranking officials of the Lower period (between 700 and 300 BC) and the Ptolemaic period (323 to 30 BC).
