Nature and art at the end of Pier 54

Rising from the remnants of Pier 54, on the West side of Manhattan in Hudson River park, lies Little Island, a 2.4-acre public area. From afar, the 260$ million construction, mostly paid for by billionaire Barry Diller, looks like a cluster of giant white flower buds sprouting from Hudson River. After Hurricane Sandy damaged Pier 54 at the end of 2012, the Business Mogul envisioned to build a dazzling space for the people of New York, as well as the tourists. An immersive experience with nature and art.
