“Mondrian Evolution”

In 2022, the Fondation Beyeler celebrates its 25th anniversary. After opening the year with a major retrospective devoted to Georgia O’Keeffe, the museum near Basel will present the exhibition “Mondrian Evolution” from 5 June to 9 October 2022, with 89 works highlighting the striking evolution of the artistic work of Piet Mondrian, a 19th-century landscape painter and one of the major protagonists of modern art. The exhibition offers a rare opportunity to see Mondrian’s work in a new light, as he profoundly influenced the 20th century not only in art but also in design, architecture, fashion and pop culture.
