Hindu weddings
More than 3 million Hindus live in Pakistan, the majority around Karachi, the capital of Sindhi. In this Muslim country, born after the partition of the British Indian Empire in 1947, Hindus could not marry. It was only in 2016 that a law allowing the registration of weddings celebrated within the Hindu community was promulgated. An important political act.
