Burtynsky’s vision of Nature
From February 2024, London becomes the stage for an artistic exploration with Edward Burtynsky. At the Saatchi Gallery, the exhibition “BURTYNSKY: Extraction/Abstraction” (February 14 to May 6, 2024) presents a retrospective of the artist’s career, featuring 94 large-format photographs, 13 high-resolution murals and an augmented reality experience. Meanwhile, Flowers Gallery unveils “Edward Burtynsky – New Works” (February 28 – April 6, 2024), focusing on three geological themes: the Coast Mountains of British Columbia, erosion in Turkey, and coal mining in Australia. Burtynsky’s work explores the interaction between nature and industry, revealing the beauty and environmental consequences of human industrial activities.
