The parties have not disclosed the value of the transaction. The move can nonetheless be seen as an effort to accelerate the platform’s international expansion, particularly in the United States.

L Catterton Expands Its Investment Scope

Founded in 2016, L Catterton currently manages approximately $40 billion in assets. The private equity firm operates across 18 offices and has become a kind of financial Trojan horse that the Arnault family deploys in sectors it considers to be experiencing strong growth, including AI-assisted shopping. L Catterton’s strategy now extends beyond luxury houses alone, focusing increasingly on emerging consumer habits while anticipating new trends.
Glance, for its part, aims to transform the way consumers discover and select products. Rather than searching on a website, users receive product recommendations tailored to their tastes and habits, powered by generative AI and agents designed to guide them from product discovery through to purchase.

Glance Aims To Turn Its Reach Into Transactions

In the United States, agreements with Samsung, Motorola and DIRECTV already give Glance access to millions of devices. The platform is also backed by Google, Indian digital giant Jio Platforms and US investment firm Mithril Capital. Jio Platforms, a subsidiary of Indian conglomerate Reliance Industries, had already invested $200 million in the platform in 2022, securing an approximately 17% stake at the time.
The challenge now is to turn this extensive reach into more profitable transactions. According to Scott Dahnke, global chief executive of L Catterton, agentic commerce is fundamentally changing the product purchasing process. The fund intends to draw on its expertise and international network to support this expansion.
The deal comes as the prospects for AI-assisted commerce attract growing investor interest. According to a McKinsey study, AI agents could mediate between $3 trillion and $5 trillion in global consumer commerce transactions by 2030. In the United States, the business-to-consumer retail market alone could account for up to $1 trillion in revenue orchestrated by these agents, according to another McKinsey study published in October 2025.
Key Points:
- McKinsey estimates that AI agents could mediate $3 trillion to $5 trillion in global consumer commerce by 2030, including up to $1 trillion in the US B2C retail market.

- The investment reflects the fund’s strategy of expanding beyond traditional luxury into emerging consumer technologies and new purchasing habits.

- Partnerships with Samsung, Motorola and DIRECTV give the platform access to millions of devices in the United States, providing a foundation for international growth.
